Dash Cam Install VancouverBen DelGrosso
One of our clients hired us for a dash cam install in Vancouver. They wanted what I use in my own car. The IROAD X11. We outfitted their Audi Q3 with front and rear cameras to record while parked and driving.
Wide Viewing Angle
Most standard dash cameras on the market offer a 130 to 140 degree viewing angle. However, the IROAD X11 offers a 155 degree front and rear wide viewing angle. This allows for 310 degrees of total viewing coverage. The wide angle lens will minimize your blind spots, ensuring the scene through your front windshield is completely recorded.
2k Resolution Front & Back
Next on the dash cam resolution hierarchy are the 2k dash cams. 2k is a bit of a “catch-all” term used to describe devices that capture or display over 2000 horizontal pixels x 1080. The difference in pixels between a 1080p dashcam and a 2k dash cam can be a few hundred thousand, to 1.6 million pixels. This means 2k dashcams can be of exceptional quality in comparison to 1080p.
The IROAD X11 front and rear camera is 2560 pixels horizontally and 1440 pixels vertically so a lot more detail compared to a 1080p camera. This allows for a much wider, much clearer view with a lot more detail. This is especially apparent when you zoom in. It retains clarity far better than a 1080p dash cam would.
HDR (High Dynamic Range)
HDR (High Dynamic Range) is a technology that expands the range of brightness from the brightest to the darkest, as close as possible to what the human eye sees. For example, applying HDR when passing through a dark tunnel adjusts the light reflections in the tunnel to bring colour to life. When passing through a dazzling road, the sunlight is properly adjusted to make things look sharp.
Dash Cam Install Vancouver
Above all, completing a dash cam install in Vancouver can provide many challenges. Firstly, you need to make sure you have all the proper tools. If you do not have the proper tools you will waste all your time driving around and not be productive. That is to say, we have to make sure and plan according to the job.
Secondly, weather can provide challenges. Sometimes we work in the rain, snow, or colder weather. Meanwhile, we let our clients stay in the warmth of their house or business. That is one of the perks of our dash cam install service.
Sony STARVIS Image sensor
Premium sensor that guarantees the ultimate sharpness and night image quality with SONY STARVIS image sensor IROAD X11 is equipped with Sony Starvis image sensor to record the brightest and the cleanest images even in low light environments it provides a much brighter and clearer image compared to seeing with bare eyes.
The IROAD X11 uses the newest video codec. What this means for you? H.265 will give you twice as much recording capacity. It means that users can use 128GB SD card as 256GB SD card. HEVC stands for High Efficiency Video Coding. Therefore, you will get up to twice the recording time to H.264 formats which Thinkware utilizes.
In parking mode, the surrounding brightness is automatically diagnosed within 5 seconds and the recording brightness will be set to 3 times higher when the surrounding illumination is low. It can record bright and clear images not only in parking mode but also in driving mode.
IROAD Time lapse supports continuous recording at 1fps in parking mode. It allows memory saving in a way to continue up to 30 times more than other dash camera. Also, it prevents the recorded files from being lost due to insufficient memory space. It is optimized for efficient memory usage.
Easy to confirm recordings and backup what you want to keep on your smartphone. All you need is free IROAD mobile application, live view, backup, and upload to Social Media through the application. App is available on App Store and Play Store.
